James Bond fans have to wait until 2019 for the next installment of the film franchise. Luckily it is still possible to PRETEND that you are 007, for a weekend at least, thanks to McKinlay Kidd.

Here is a family business, based in Scotland, that offers unique holiday packages which will prove hard to forget. Their Aston Martin 007 weekend provides the perfect combination of a convertible Aston Martin and some of the most iconic and scenic film locations in Scotland. Best of all, you get to stay at a five-star hotel on its own private island.

The locations are very special and holiday makers will be driving right by some incredible scenery, which just happens to have served as the backdrop to some of the most memorable Bond moments, including Faslane Naval Base, featured in The Spy Who Loved Me.

Then there is the loch by Crinan, the scene of the boat chase through the Bosphorus in From Russia with Love.

Finally, for the full on Daniel Craig effect there is Glencoe, the setting for the spectacular finale in Skyfall - enjoy the scene (and scenery!) below.

This two-night trip is by no means cheap, and if you are a true fan it will set you back around £1,775 per person based on two sharing. The price includes a rather wonderful three days’ hire of an Aston Martin DB9 and a two-night stay at Isle of Eriska hotel.

Not only is breakfast and dinner included, as well as some essential 007 life skills. Part of the package is a Martini master class and a private speedboat ride to the Isle of Mull and entrance to Duart Castle. This island fortress is the ancestral home of Clan Maclean. Indeed, the bravery of soldier and diplomat Fitzroy Hew MacLean, who parachuted into Yugoslavia to assist the resistance in World War 2 is believed to have inspired Ian Fleming’s character, the one and only James Bond.
